Use one data source as frame for another data source

Hi everyone,

I have a question about PowerBi Desktop.

I have got two data sources (Excel-Tables). One data source contains account numbers and the other data source contains the corresponding numbers in every account.

Is there a way to use the first data source as directory for the other data source, quasi standardized so that you can change the second data source and the directory is the same.

Hope it is comprehensible

Best regards

Hi @Anonymous

How do you want to change the second data source?

For example, in my test, two tables are as below

4.png

Import them to Power BI, create relationships as below

3.png

When i change data in column [numbers] in numbers table on excel side, save it,

then click refresh button in Power BI Desktop, the data refreshes with lastest data.

If it is not the same as your scenario, it is better to share some example here to illustrate your scenario.

Best Regards
Maggie
