Use measure from published Power BI dataset in another pbix file

Hello,

I have a pulished dataset with very complicated measures.

I want to query that dataset and use the results in another .pbix file.

I am not able to connect to the first data set - I get an error: 

"The connect live option for this file is disabled because it already contains data from another data source..."

Can I somehow query the first dataset? I don't need live connection, I just want to use the existing measures in my other models.

Hi @michaelshparber 

Composite models do not support datasets, this means you can link to a dataset in the service as long as that's the only dataset in your model / pbix file.

You can create new pbix file and link to your dataset.

But maybe there is a workaround?

Maybe I can somehow select/import the data from the dataset using API?

Something?
