Updating Excel backend file to PBIX independently

Hi, Here is the scenario:-

1. Customer wants to use Excel data for his backend data powering PBIX file. No DB.

2. PBIX file will be static.

3. Excel will be dynamic - i.e. updated weekly/monthly Customer wants to upload Excel file or get his customer to do it independently to PBIX publish.

Is there a way to do this without using PowerBI, i.e. first time publish will be PBIX and Excel file as a Dataset, then after that can we point the dataset to BLOB storage (or similar), by keeping the filename the same but the file will change in content (not structure)? Thanks.

Hi @SachinC

You can use Ms Flow, this is a relatively new future, as explained in the article below.

Hi, I don't have SharePoint license. I used OneDrive for Business. I setup a flow for an Excel file to trigger based on modification, but that didn't work. Do I need to install a Personal Gateway installed in PowerBI.com?
