Unused artifacts since 30 days

I am wondering what is the use case of using this API 

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/power-bi/admin/groups-get-unused-artifacts-as-admin ?

because if you haven't touched the dataset since 30 days, it does not mean that it is obsolete?

do you have any experience to share about it?
