I have a data table that has the following variables (along with others that are not relevant to the issue I'm having):
I have created a measure called "Trend" that = Trend Numerator / Trend Denominator. Each region has several states associated with it, for example the West region is representative of California, Arizona, Nevada, Washington, and Oregon. State is not a variable in my dataset, the only kind of variable related to location is region. I would like to create a heat map of the United States where I can use the Trend as a value so that the region is red if the trend is bad (high, positive trend) and green if the trend is good (low, negative trend). I am wondering if there is a way to apply the different states to the regions or vice versa so that I can then use that on a heatmap of the US in some way.
@evpote01 I think what you need is to bring States for each Region and these states will have the same value for Trend and use State to plot the heat map, since each State in a region will have the same value, it will look like one region.
