Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'sessionId' of undefined

Whenever I open up a specific pbix file I get the dialogue...

An error occurred while rendering the report.

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'sessionId' of undefined

I can press cancel and it goes away, but just concerned there is an underlying issue with the report.  Any ideas?

Hi, after a data (Excel file) refresh, the issue hasnt happened again. Very odd, but no longer an issue.

Hi @StuartSmith ,

There is a similar case you may refer to : Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'PixelConverter' of undefined.

If you still have this issue for Power BI, you'd better create a support ticket in Power BI Support , Scroll down and click "CREATE SUPPORT TICKET", or go to Issue forum  to get further help.

Best Regards,

Amy

@StuartSmith , Check your connection under data source setting, do you have given something in URL. or open Data Transformation Mode, you should this error in the yellow background with more details.

For every table, you can open Advance Editor and see source setting under Data Transformation or edit the query

Correct any error there
