Unable to upload a folder as a data source [error: failed to save modifications to server]

Hello, I want to create a monthly report where each month's data is put into a specific folder [on a shared company network drive, if that matters] and show monthly stats along with YTD data as the year progresses.

On trying to upload the data, I get this error [in screenshot]. What should I be doing here to pull the data?

Thanks. Power Bi error.JPG

@adilk

Can you confirm that all months files are in the same structure?

By the way, have you tried the solution in this thread?

@Eric_Zhang Hi, Yes -all monthly files are in the same structure.

I looked at your solution in the other thread. What did you mean by remove navigation steps? How dod I do this?

Thanks.

By clicking "Edit Queries", you will go to query editor window.

In Query editor window, on the right, you'll see all steps applied to your datasource. Click the "X" before each step to remove the steps.
