Unable to update data due to file in use

Hi,

Every time i'm trying to update my data in Power Bi, I get an error saying "Impossible to use "PDMA.accdb", File in use.

I just restarted my computer, so I'm sure the report is not open or in use.

It's the very first time I have this error.

Any idea on how to fix this?

Thank you.

Laurent.

Hi Laurent,

I would suggest you find out what it is when such error happens. Please download the tool from here and try it according to the guide in the snapshot.

.\handle64.exe | Select-String pdma.accdb -context 5, 3

is the database on your pc or network? if it's your local drive, I'd try copying it and using the Compact & Repair https://support.office.com/en-us/article/compact-and-repair-a-database-6ee60f16-aed0-40ac-bf22-85fa9... and then try connecting to the compacted copy alternatively if Access has linked tables that connect to e.g. Excel/Csv files it may be that they're in use
