Hi All
I am getting the following error message when trying to sign into Power BI Desktop
"An error occurred while contacting the service (the connection to the service was prematurely closed). Please contact your IT Administrator if this issue persists"
Has anyone had this error message before? What does it mean?
I am able to use the same credentials to log into the Service fine.

Could be lots of reasons for this. I assume you have restarted PBI Desktop?
Try restarting the PC.
You definitely have internet access? (Silly question?)

Yes, unfortunately I have tried restarting both PBI Desktop and also my laptop plus I do I have internet access as I can open Power BI Service from the same laptop and log in using the same log in details 😞
