Unable to sign in to Power BI Desktop

Error message -
sorry, we encountered an error while trying to sign you in. Details: One or more errors occurred.

Tried disabling firewall and antivirus and relaunched, but no luck. 

PowerBI Service works fine though. I would really appreciate your help.

Please check if there are proxy settings on your machine preventing you from signing. Also run Windows defender to check if any applications blocking you.

If the issue still occurs, please restart your machine.

I checked the trace logs, it says -
The browser based authentication dialog failed to complete. Reason: The server or proxy was not found
