Unable to launch Power BI Desktop

I am running Windows 11. Up until yesterday Power BI Desktop installed from the Microsoft Store worked great.

As of this morning, I am stuck on the splash screen. If you look at the task manager it looks like there are two windows. The splash screen and another empty window.

Observations:

  1. There are no errors displayed on the screen
  2. There are no windows event logs indicating an error

What I have tried:

  1. Rebooted my PC
  2. Uninstalled and reinstalled the Windows Store version of Power BI Desktop
  3. Installed 64-bit from installer. (Download Microsoft Power BI Desktop from Official Microsoft Download Center) Same issue uninstalled.
  4. Installed 32-bit from installer. Same issue uninstalled.
  5. Run as administrator. Same issue.
  6. Tried "Troubleshoot Compatability". Same issue.
  7. Verified WebView2 is installed. Also tried to repair WebView2. Same issue.

I had same issue. You need to uninstall/reinstall WebView2. Since you can't do it through Add/Remove Programs (as you tried), you need to follow the directions found here (update for your version/folder# of WebView2)

Thanks a lot. Uninstalling WebView2 from the command line fixed the issue. I can now run Power BI Desktop.
