Unable to connect to Azure Data explorer from Power BI Desktop

Hi, 

 

We are trying to connect to Azure Data explorer from Power BI Desktop but getting error "Details: "Access to the resource is forbidden.". We have given admin access to the database

 

Please assist.

Hi @leelachandrappa ,

 

Azure Data Explorer provides three options for connecting to data in Power BI: use the built-in connector, import a query from Azure Data Explorer, or use a SQL query.

 

According to your error message, you could try to clear the permission in Datasource setting at first:

I tried one of the methods, then follow my steps below to reconnect the Azure Data Explorer data source:

Which account should we choose when Power BI asks us to signin? Is the primary subcription accounts? or the account that is added as the database admin within the permission tab for the database in azure portal?
