Unable to change x-axis type from categorical to continous to draw a trendline

Hi there,

I am pretty new to Power Bi and struggling with this thing and wasn't able to find any solution to it. I have date values in X-axis from the custom-built date dimension table and Y-axis with numeric values (price). I have plotted a line chart and now I am trying to draw a trendline for the line chart and failed to do so, I know it requires continuous values but not able to figure out how to check that. Is there any way to verify if the values are continuous or not and then modify accordingly?

@Anonymous , You can do that for the numeric year of the date. Try it only with Numeric FY

@amitchandak is there any way that to maintain the X-axis the same way and insert the trend line?
