Tying In My Data Base

  • I am having trouble creating a Query from my data base.
  • My data base has a built in reporting function that can either export to CSV or create a CSV connection string.
  • I have been able to export to Excel no problem.
  • This is a web based data base that assigns its users an API key for athuentication.

IF THIS IS THE WRONG FORUM STRING PLEASE EXCUSE MY IGNORANCE.

Any help would be highly appreciated,

1 ACCEPTED SOLUTION

Yes my issue was that I could not get my connection string to pull from our online data base.

This has been resolved. The issue was with the code I had written in the query. I small mistake but I couldn't seem to narrow it down!

Thanks for the assistance all!

Hi @BradDGerl ,

Do you mean that you couldn't connect to your web database using Power BI?

You need to use OData or create a custom connector.  Here is the document for your reference :

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/desktop-connector-extensibility

And you could check if Power BI supports your data base here.
