## Two weighted average columns based on different measures in a row

Hi, I need to create two different weighted average columns based on different measures in a row.

Sample data:

 Name Measure 1 Measure 2 Measure 3 Measure 4 Measure 5 Measure 6 Measure 7 Project 1 1 4 3 2 1 5 1 Project 2 2 5 4 5 4 1 2 Project 3 3 2 1 1 2 2 4

Weighted average column one: measure 1, 2 & 3  for the respective project in that row
Weighted avergae column two: measure 4, 5, 6 & 7 for the respective project in that row

Is this something that can be done in Power BI?

Try this

WA 1 = ([Measure 1]+[Measure 2]+[Measure 3])/3

Hi,

How should the weighted average be calculated and what answer are you expecting in each row?  What do those measures actually calculate?

Hi,

WA1 would be calculated for Project 1 by: (1+4+3)/3 = 2.6666

WA1 would be calculated for Project 2 by: (2+5+4)/3 = 3.6666

WA2 would be calculated for Project 1 by: (2+1+5+1)/4 = 2.25

WA2 would be calculated for Project 2 by: (5+4+1+2)/4 = 3
