Hi, I am completely new to Power BI and have been trying to install it through the Windows 10 store. I've tried to follow the instructions as found in the Udemy class "Learn Power BI fast". So far I have succesfully installed SQL Server 2017 Express, SSMS, and the AdventureWorksDW2012 Database.
Power BI is reported as being successfully installed, but when I try to run it nothing happens. I'll get the busy circle for a microsecond and then nothing. No error report. No indication that I ever tried to open the program.
I know this isn't much to go on, but any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks!
P.S. Apologies on the bogus Idea Label. Again, complete newbie here.

@peralph,
Do you launch Power BI Desktop from Microsoft Store in Windows 10? If so, could you please download Power BI Desktop from this link and install it on your system, then check if you can successfully open the Power BI Desktop?
Regards,
Lydia
Yes! That worked. The course I was taking said that I could only use the Windows Store. I'm glad that the course was wrong about that..and hope the course isn't wrong about anything else.

P.S. I can't seem to figure out how to change the status. It can be changed to closed/finished/complete.
