Trying to create this!

Hello

I'm trying to create this sketch below but I'm struggling.  I'm trying to create it using line and stacked bar chart but I can't get the lines to show as per below.  Does anyone have any suggestions how I can create this or something similar?   Basically I need to show cost over time (short/med/long) but overlay a graphic that shows the lease period of different tenants over time.  Any help would be very much appreciated 🙂

Hi @Anonymous,

What about using Line and stacked column chart in Power BI which is similar to your desired output?

If you need more help, please share some data sample so that we could help further on it.

Hi Cherry

Thanks very much for your response.

Ok this is as far as i can get.  Two problems

1. I can't get the lines to stop partway across the graph or locate in the correct position.  The only way I could think of is arranging the data in a table with a value for the year where i want a line and no value where I dont want the line.  basic!

2. I cant group the year 2018&19 / 20-22 / 23-28

Any suggestions would be a great help.  thank you

Hi @Anonymous,

What about grouping the year firstly with New Group like below?

In addition, you could turn off the secondary Y axis under Y axis.

Here is my test result.

More details, you could refer to my attachment.
