I'm trying to create a column that tells me how many orders a given customer has placed. So I need to count distinct
The key data I'm working with:
Customers:
UserID
SalesReport:
TransactionID
UserID
I think I need to basically CountDistinct TransactionID in SalesReport WHERE UserID = current row UserID
I tried this but got an error:
OrdersPerCustomer =
CALCULATE(
DISTINCTCOUNT( 'SalesReport'[TransactionID] )
,'SalesReport'[UserID] = Customers'[UserID]
)
Tried a couple other things but they didn't work either. Any tips?
Solved! Go to Solution.
1. Create a 1-to-many unidirectional relationship from Customers to Sales thru UserID
2. Place Customer[UserID] in the rows of a table visual
3. Place this measure in the table visual
Measure = DISTINCTCOUNT(Sales[TransactionID])
