Trouble with opening a workbook in Power BI Online

Published an Excel workbook into Power BI. It appears in the Power BI Browser under My Workspace > Workbooks. Then when I try and open the workbook it says unable to open in Excel Online. I then try and open the workbook in Excel desktop and the follwing message appears : The action couln't be performed because Office doesn't recognize the command it was given. Does anyone have any solutions to this problem? It says the reason I can't open the workbook in Excel online is that my data has custom properties linked to cells. Is there any way to remove these properties so I will be able to open it in Excel online?

Hi @Alim22,

How did you publish the workbook to Power BI, upload from local drive or SharePoint/ OneDrive? How did you define the workbook? You can modify the workbook in Excel desktop then replace exiting one or modify it online.

Can you share the complete error message when you open the workbook in Power BI service?
