Hi,
I have created a report with PowerBI Desktop. I set it up to update by schedule refresh, daily. Also published it into the web and created a link. It worked just fine for several weeks.
Now, I created a new page on my report, on PBI Desktop. Saved it and published it to the PBI Service. For some reason that I can't figure out, this new page report doesn't look the same in the PBI Desktop and in the PBI Service. It seems as if there's some problem with the data for the visuals, as if there was no data for this particular visuals, however there is, because other visuals (that also depend on the same data) are working.
Also, I copied the pbix file, named it differently, published it into powerbi service and it works just fine.
I don't want to erase the first one, as the link has already been shared and I want to avoid having to resend a new one.
Has anyone experienced anything like this?
Thanks,
Teresa
hi @Anonymous
Please refer to this document:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-publish-to-web#updates-to-reports-and-data-refresh
however, updates to reports or visuals can take approximately one hour before becoming visible to your users.

Lin
Lin and Nathaniel,
Thanks for your answers.
I am aware of the 1 hour it may take for the report to be available on the web link. However this was not the case, as it tried for two days, and the situation persisted.
Yesterday, I tried again to solve this problem, this way:
Created a copy of the report. In one of the copies I deleted the last and newer page that was giving me problems. I updated this report in powerbi service, and gave it the necessary time to update the link as well. Then I used the first copy, with all the pages and replaced it in powerbi service. It worked for some hours yesterday. However today it looks the same as before, and some of the visuals aren't working...
Again, I want to enfatize that, if I post this same report, with another name into PBIService, it works perfectly.
There must be something else wrong that I am not getting.
Any other help would be much appreciatted.
Teresa
Hi @Anonymous ,
Sometimes I have had the experience where it takes some time to up date the new page, either do to my webpage not being speedy or the service. And I agree it can be frustrating especially if it is subtle. Did I do that change, or not? So give it a little while, then double check your desktop and then your service and see if this solves it.
Let me know if you have any questions.
If this solves your issues, please mark it as the solution, so that others can find it easily. Kudos are nice too.
