Trigger an increment to an calculation by user pressing a button

Hi!

I want to create a report that lets the user press a button, and the button-press should trigger an update to a measurment (adding a set sumber to it).

Is that possible some how? I thought about using power apps, or perhaps have a webservice-method as a data source.

Any ideas are most appriciated.

Best regards

Niklas

Hi Dear, this cannot be achieved using buttons in Power BI. I guess the only solution is to use variable in your mesurement. Provide value to variable using whatif parameter manually .

Thanks for your reply.

I think I was unclear in my question.

I want to make an report thats simulates a machine learning model, and let the user trigger an update to the model with an button. But maybe an whatif-solution your describing could work.. If the user is prompted to fill in the new parameters for the model instead of pressing a button. Worth a try 🙂

Thanks!
