Trend Line with X Axis Date

I am trying to create a chart that shows the average of hours worked per month as seen in the top chart. However, I am wanting it to look like the third chart. Both charts use different fields. The date field I am using for each one is different but is the same format and data type. The Monthly Violated chart is counting tickets while the average resolution hours is averaging each ticket. I am just wanting the chart to show the average time per ticket per month. I can get this to work by setting the Chart_Axis to Date Hiearchy but when doing so that does not allow me to see 2 years on the chart, I either have to choose 2018 or 2019 unlike on the thrid chart.

Hi @slounsbury

I'm afraid i cannot fully understand it. Could you share the .pbix file and explain more about your expected output? You can upload it to OneDrive and post the link here. Do mask sensitive data before uploading.
