Translate complex Excel workbook to Power BI

Okay, I am totally new and am trying to find a way to narrow down what I need to learn in the short term.

I have an excel workbook with dozens of pages of calculations that we had been used for estimating.  Now we are moving over to PowerApps and CDS.

Can someone please help me shortlist what I need to do in order to recreate the calculator in BI & CDS.

Hi @Sacred_Totems ,

I suggest you start with reading the articles below:

Create a Power BI report using the Common Data Service connector

Power Apps visual for Power BI

To replicate your excel solution in Power BI, you will have to

1. Import the source data into power bi desktop

2. Build a data model and establish relationships.

3. Create measures for calculations.

4. Think about how to represent data with appropriate visuals.

Best regards.
