Transitioning from Qlik

Hi My org is tansitioning from Qlik to PBI and I understand we have to rebuild everything but I am trying to understand some of the structure differences. We used a standard qlik model of DataSource->QVD->DataModel (QVW) -> UI (QVW) and end users would access the UI through AccessPoint based on what was published. My understanding so far is we would go DataSource->Dataset->Report (basically the quivalient of qlik UI) and then we could choose to combine KPIs as an example from multiple reports into a dashboard. Would all these reports and the corresponding Dashboard be published under an App? Any guidence appreciated, especially someone who went through a similar transition.

Thanks

jks

Hi @jkstone ,.

You can connect and model data sources in desktop, and then collaborate with users through services.

Only one app can exist in an app workspace, and you can add any report belonging to this workspace in this app.

Refer:

Hi @jkstone - Please remember these are 2 different worlds but end result is more or less the same. There are many different things in PBI, i would suggest have a read of this:

Hope this helps. 🙂
