Hello... We are trying to track the changes made to an excel file... e.g. the file is a workplan(activities with dates and statuses) which gets updated every week. A report which has only the updated activities highlighting the change(Activity X has changed from "in progress" to "completed") would be something that could help my team.

Move your excel file to a folder and use folder connector to get data, then you will find three fields about date accessed, date modified, date created.You can add a custom column to check these fields with conditions to return tag.
