Hello,
I need help trying to figure out why my "Total" column keeps showing 6,250,843 despite adding a filter for the approver. What I need is the total to change to the the amount that applies to the filter (ie $84,630) for the below example. Any idea?
Try changing the relationship between tables in Model. Maybe the cross-filter direction should be different.
This looks like a measure totals problem. Very common. See my post about it here: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/DAX-Commands-and-Tips/Dealing-with-Measure-Totals/td-p/63376
Also, this Quick Measure, Measure Totals, The Final Word should get you what you need:

@Greg_Deckler thank you for the response however I'm still confused. I'm a beginner to Power Bi.
Thanks
When a measure executes in a Total row, it always executes in the context of ALL. It removes all context filters. So, that is why it never changes. When you filter the table, the rows change but the context in the Total row is still ALL so you have to account for that. The last link I sent shows how to fix it.
Hi @bouyazbekj ,
