Hi, I am fairly new to PowerBI and trying to create Top N (5) repot.

I have two tables.

  • Date
  • Month_Year

-Fault Reasons Table

  • Fault ID

  • Technology
  • Reason
  • Fault Count (1 for each line)

I am after Top N (5) report based on Month/Year, Technology, Reason, Total Fault Count, Rank (Top 5)

Please provide your suggestion

1. Load the data to powerbi

2. Create a relation between to tables.

3. Make sure all data types are picked up correctly

4. In visualization later take a filter of  Date. In the latest version, there is filter pane global or local to page explore that.

5. Each Graph or table you should able to select view by/category and measure. Change sorting to measure if required.

For remaining need can you please give an example
