Is there anyway to add a tooltip but to a field?
For example in a matrix or grid say a person hovers over a product ID, the tooltip I want to assign to that is the Product Name, Product Desc, and Product Weight.
I don't want to just add those extra three columns to the visual as they are not needed and would clutter up the page. However, if a person looks at a product ID in this context Name, Desc, and Weight are the three fields they will want to know. Making them flip over to a product ID lookup is not ideal.
Several other BI apps offer these attribute drill through or hover over description options, I didn't know in PBI did and I am just unaware.
Thanks!

Hi @OneWithQuestion ,
For chart visuals, you can add extra fields which are not shown in visual into "Tooltip" section. Customizing Tooltips in Power BI Desktop
However, this feature is not available for table and matrix visual. Here is an idea for you to upvote. Or as mentioned in this link, you can take the workaround that using report page tooltip.
Best regards,
Yuliana Gu
