Hello Everyone,
I have created the tooltip page which works fone for values in matrix but when I bring it on row headers it doesn't appear. My row headers have definitions which I want to display when user keep the cursor on relevant Row header.
I tried to link it values and I can get the definition of row header when someone puts the cursor on Value section but it's confusing.
Is there any way to achieve this?
If not then what's the other way? I don't want users to route to other page to look for info.
Any suggestion will highly be appreciated.
Try changing matrix into table. It will work.
Hi @Anonymous , it seems unable to customize a tooltip page for row headers in a matrix. If the definition info you want to display is not very large, see if below method can make something
1. Create a measure to display the info:
Measure Tooltip = "Tool tip info for row header"
2. Insert a button and move it over the row header. Turn off Outline and Background to make it transparent. Then turn on Action, set Type as Page navigation with None Destination, and set Tooltip Based on the measure created in previous step.
3. Hold on Ctrl key, select the matrix visual and the button, then right click and select Group to group them together. Now when you hover the cursor over the row header where a button exists, the tool tip info will display.
But if the info need to change dynamically or a lot of info need to be displayed, this may not be an effective method.
