To flatten in many to many

Hi
In a database many to many (where you create the intersecting in between table with primary keys from both tables), when importing to PBI should I merge the in between table with the child table to make the relationships less hops and more of a star than a snowflake?

That is, for example

Customer -> Orders (CID & OrderDetailID) -> Order Details

Should I merge Order details with orders in query editor prior to loading to make it 'one hop'.

By the way, I am not yet across how the new M:M works in PBI.
Thanks in advance.
John

Hi @johnmelbourne ,

Many-to-many relationships: With composite models, you can establish many-to-many relationships between tables, which removes requirements for unique values in tables. It also removes previous workarounds, such as introducing new tables only to establish relationships. For more detailed information, see Relationships with a many-many cardinality.
