Timestamp to weekdays

Hi Power Bi community,

I wanted to convert the timestamps to display in weekdays, so I used the below formula

Week day (new) = FORMAT(Data[TIME STAMP],"DDD")

After plotting the graph, power BI just sums up the values for Monday and doesn't go by timestamps.

My expected result:

Please help!

Hi @Kolumam

As tested, "week day (new)" is a column of text type, if you have several rows for Monday, when you use "week day (new)" as x-axis, the values in y-axis would sum by the x-axis.

If you want the user to know easily which weekday the date is, you could add the "Week dat" column in the Tooltip field, then when you hover on the date, it will display weekday on the tips.

Best Regards

Maggie

How can I indicate the weekdays as Timestamps instead of texts? because I just wanna show Mon, Tue, wed, Thu, Fri etc..

Is there any other method where I could show weekdays as timestamps and the graph works fine?
