This step results in a query that is not supported in DirectQuery mode

I want my table datset to use directquery and autorefresh everyminute or so from the database using "page autorefresh" .

This imported sql server table however is refusing to cooperate.

Below is the initial source step - how to fix?

Once imported i do a few edit query operations on it to clean it up.

Hi @StephenF ,

The term modeling in this context means the act of refining and enriching the raw data, as part of authoring a report using it. Examples include:

  • Defining relationships between tables
  • Adding new calculations (calculated columns and measures)
  • Renaming and hiding columns and measures
  • Defining hierarchies
  • Defining the formatting, default summarization and sort order for a column
  • Grouping or clustering values
