The operation was cancelled because of locking conflicts

Hello Community,

 

Since a week when I want to refresh my data I receive this error:  The operation was cancelled because of locking conflicts

Did anyone have a solution for that ?

I imported the dimesions and fact tables one by one and finally found out which measure causes the problem so contacted my DBA to fix the issue

Hi @Anonymous,

 

Please check if the data is displayed properly in the query editor, and check if there are any queries that report errors.
If there is no error message, perhaps the process on the data source side is deadlocked and you need to contact your DBA to troubleshoot the issue.

Also make sure you are using the latest PBI Desktop version.

@Anonymous , In power bi desktop, refresh the tables one by one and check are you able to do that. If now find the table having an issue and check why are you not able to read it.

 

This can be an issue because of the August 2021 update. Check if you are on that. if yes, check for the similar issues at https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Issues/idb-p/Issues
