The input couldn't be recognized as a valid Excel document

Okay I know someone already posted but here's my scenario:
I can open(Get Data) the Excel File in a new instance of PowerBI...

    BUT
If I open(Get Data) the file in the instance where it was
already the source it's giving that error.

Hi @ovetteabejuela,

Do you get the above error when you open Excel file in all existing PBIX files?

I am not able to reproduce your issue in the latest version of Power BI Desktop(2.44.4675.521)? Could you please share me the Excel file and a PBIX file so that I can test?

Thanks,
Lydia Zhang

Update: I tried opening random excel file... and it's giving me the same Error

I would believe there is something wrong with my PBIX file, but why? --- That's what I'm curious about.

I think I can just go ahead and use an older version of my PBIX file.
