So I have the fields:
Term Career
Term CGPA Masters
Term CGPA Doctoral
Term CGPA Bachelors
The three CGPA columns appear next to all students.
The options that will appear in "Term Career" are Masters, Doctoral, or Bachelors.
What I want to do is figure out how to say when Term Career is equal to "Bachelors" then get "Term CGPA Bachelors" and ignore the other two CGPA columns which would be "0" since the individual is a Bachelors degree student. Is this possible?
No, it's not possible to dynamically identify columns based on values under one column. And when modeling data, it's not a good practice to have one column for each degree. It's better to keep only one column combining information for all degrees to avoid this redundancy. Even one student may have multiple degrees information, you should have multiple entries for same students.
