Template app validate parameter

We are investigating the new template app feature in Power BI for our customers. What we want is to have a query parameter where the user will have to enter some sort of licensekey which then will be validated against some source.  If they dont enter correct licenskey the report will not run. The customers will run the app against their own azure sql database. The app will not be distrubuted via app source. Can this be done?

I am afraid that Power BI does not support this. You can create a new idea here.

Hi, not really. I know how to create parameter in my report but I want to validate that parameter when user enters input against some web service or some other datasource.
