I am not sure what has happened to one of my power bi files. It's only small and I was testing calculation groups using tabular editor. I have just noticed that all he sigma signs are lost against integer fields. I can create measures from them but you can't just drop them onto visualisations to calculate using the Summarization tool. Tried everything to get them back but nothing works? Anyone else had this?

i am having issues with calculation groups as well.. particularly when i try to add any types of formatting options.. i was thinking that the bug was on the desktop side, but may be it's the tabular editor issue.
@gooranga1 this is scary, report it as an issue so that there is a deeper look into this.

plus there is an issue with line charts number formatting as soon as you use a formatting option in the calculation group in Tabular Editor as you can see here...
what's not clear is whether this is a PBI Desktop issue or Tabular Editor issue
yes I am not 100% sure tabular editor was the culprit but it's all I can think of to do this kind of thing. I am going to try to reproduce but it is a bit annoying re-creating stuff.
Looks like once you click Save the changes to the connected database it deletes all the sigma icons and there is no way to get them back. Even after refreshing power bi they are gone. You can not use those fields unless you add them to a measure.
@gooranga1 weird, select a column and on column tools change aggregation to sum and see if this Sigma sign shows up.

Hi @parry2k yup it's set to sum. tried changing it in power query and reseting it but no joy. Looks like I will have to re-create it from scratch.
