Table visualisation

Hello all,

I'm wanting to display the data from a table which looks like:

TEAM      DIVISION

A                  GREEN

A                   RED

A                    YELLOW

B                    BLUE

B                    ORANGE

B                   INDIGO

into somerthing like (ie where the team doesn't repaet on each row but either has its own big box to the left ofthe Division, or appears above the divisions in the team:

TEAM      DIVISION

                    GREEN

A                   RED

                    YELLOW

                    BLUE

B                 ORANGE

                     INDIGO

Could anyone help?

Thanks

Andy

Hi @AndyRob1973 ,

You should use the Matrix visual and place the Team and division on row level as you can see below.

On the image to the left you have the stepped layout and on the right the non stepped layout (it's an option on the matrix visual that you can turn on or off.

Hey,

regarding your question about samples.

Please take the time and prepare sample data that reflects your data model, meaning if more than 1 table is used prepare sample data for more than one table. Upload the file maybe the pbix file but also the xlsx to onedrive or dropbox and share the link.

As it is often very time consuming to understand the question without having sample data at hand, sample data that helps to recreate an issue or better understand the specific problem makes providing an anserwer much more easy.

Regards,

Tom

Hi @AndyRob1973 ,

You need to keep adding them to you rows, or your values part of the matrix visual.

Only thing you need to be carefull is to go to the subtotals and turn them off you you don't want them on all detailed rows.

Thankyou MFelix,

that is really helpful.

How about when there are other fields that you want on the same line as team eg below. Also can you format individual fields?
