Table visual automatically select multiple values

Hi all,

Maybe it's possible, maybe not. I have the following question:

I have a table that looks a bit like this.

Company      Name                  ID

Test1             John                     100

Test2             Joe                       100

Test1             Testname             101

I have a table visual where i can select the name value.

What i want is that when i select the value John with id 100 it also automatically grabs Joe with id 100.

Is there a possibilty in Powerbi for what i want?

Many thanks all!

Hi @Joe_100,

Please check out a demo here.

1. Create a new table full of names.

Table = VALUES(Table1[Name])

2. Establish relationship. Modify the relationship to 1:* and single filter direction.

3. Create a measure.

Result =
VAR selected_id =
    CALCULATE (
        IF ( HASONEVALUE ( 'Table'[Name] ), MIN ( Table1[ID] ), BLANK () ),
        ALL ( Table1[Company], Table1[Name] )
    )
RETURN
    CALCULATE (
        IF ( MIN ( 'Table1'[ID] ) = selected_id, 1, BLANK () ),
        ALL ( Table1 )
    )
