TOTALYTD get empty

Good afternoon, everyone,

I have two measures to sum the premiums as below. When I try to summarize the premium on for each month, [Premium Written] gets the premium for each month. But [YTD Premium Written] gets blank result.

Any problem with the formula? Thank you.

Dennis

[Premium Written] =

CALCULATE(SUM(Policy[Premium]))

[YTD Premium Written] =

TOTALYTD ( [Premium], DateDimension[DateKey] )

Thank you, I just figured it out.

I should choose which year in VISUALIZATION FILTER to get YTD when using TOTALYTD.

Make sure the date in your visual is coming from your date table and not your Policy table.
