I have a table with sales transactions from 1/01/15 thru 11/30/19. I have a date table that I setup with dates from 1/01/15 thru 12/31/19, relating the invoice date to my date table date ('Dates'[Date]). I have the following measure:
SalesMTD = TOTALMTD(SUM(InvoiceDetail[ExtendedPrice]), 'Dates'[Date])
I also have a year slicer on my report. When I choose 2019, my Sales MTD card shows (blank). If I choose 2018, I get my Sales MTD number.
I have a chart on the report for sales by month and it is showing sales for Nov 2019.
Any help for this fool working on the Friday after Thanksgiving would be greatly appreciated!

Then I misunderstood the purpose of TOTALMTD.
How do I get a Total MTD for the current month that we are in (e.g.Today 11-29-19)?
Filter your date table to 11-29-19.
