System Requirement for Power BI

Hi All

Power BI Consumes lot of memory and CPU even with I5 processor and 16GB Ram. What is the best system requirements for power bi or are there any alternative solutions except direct query

Hi Jayanthan,

It depends on the volume of data that you are going to use it in Power BI.

Recommended requirements

• Windows Server 2008 R2, or later
• .NET 4.5
• Memory (RAM): At least 1 GB available, 1.5 GB or more recommended. 64 GB RAM would recommend if you have 1 TB data. Data processing will depend on your RAM.
• CPU: 3.2 gigahertz (GHz) or faster x86- or x64-bit processor recommended.
