Synoptic Panel Visual- Is there an easier way to select data?

I am attempting to use Synoptic Designer on building floor plans. The rooms I need to select are not a square or rectangle. The rooms have up to 8 points that need to be selected. I cannot get the tool to allow me to do this, without a massive amount of deleting and selecting. 

Is there an easier way to do this in the designer tool? If not, is there an easy way in Photoshop to allow synoptic designer to autoselect.
