Sync slicer with report filter

I am using Power BI Desktop RS and Power BI Report Server Jan 2019. I would like to know if there is someway I can add a field to Report level filter area and have Slicer sync with it. Played around with different settings, did some research online, but till now I haven't found a solution.

For example, a user clicks on one bar in a chart or 1 row in a table or matrix, all visuals in the page/tab filter accordingly. If user moves to another page/tab, the filtering doesn't carry thru because it is not a slicer filter. What I want to accomplish is have user's filter selection in a visual in one page/tab be propagated to other pages/tabs.

I know that a user could click on the Filters pane when viewing the report on the server and make a selection there, but this is tedious as the slicer is more intutitive and it's righ there on the page. In fact, I would like to remove the Filters pane if possible when the reports are published to the server.

Hi @Anonymous,

Based on my research, I am afraid you could not achieve this feature currently, I suggest you submit an idea in ideas forum:
