Hey all,
I am looking for a functionality which is I believe not possible. However, you guys have sometimes surpized me with your ingenuity.
I have two column charts on one sheet which share the same dimension hierarchy: Business units > Categories > Products. Users have (obviously) the ability to drill down in hierarchy within a visual. I am in desperate need of a way to sync the level of hierarchy to which is drilled down to the other visual.
If the user drills down on a particular business unit in visual A, I would like the visual B also to go down to this level. Currently, using the functionality "Drilling filters other visuals" will filter only the data in visual B to which has been drilled down in visual A. However, it will not go down in hierarchy level portrayed at the axis.
Can you think of a workaround? Any suggestion is helpful? Maybe an other (custom) visual which could lead to the same? Thanks in advance.
Hi @Anonymous ,
I would suggest you create an idea here.
There could be an ugly workaround that is using a slicer to the change the X-axis. For example,
AxisInSlicer ActualAxis
Year 2017
Year 2018
... ...
Month Jan
Month Feb
... ...
If you make a selection in the slicer, all the visuals in the pages could act.
