Survey responses and use of slicers/filters without identifying the responder

I have an anonymized survey dataset and I want to present the results, with the use of slicers/visuals to allow the breakdown of the responses based on the responders age, gender and department.

I want to restrict the user for using those slicers/visuals in order to identify who is the person that gave a specific answer (ie. if I select F, 26-35, Sales; only one responder exists, so the enduser can identify the responder and see exactly what that person answered).

Is there a way to have all slicers visible and active, but when I use the Gender slicer, then I'm not allowed to use any of the other slicers?

Hi @AP2 ,

About restricting users, you might consider setting row-level security. Row-level security (RLS) with Power BI can be used to restrict data access for given users. Filters restrict data access at the row level, and you can define filters within roles. In the Power BI service, members of a workspace have access to datasets in the workspace. RLS doesn't restrict this data access.

the RLS doesn't seem to be the ideal solution here.

The task is not to limit the user's access to data, but limit the user's ability to interact between the slicers and the visuals, in a more complex way, that just one slicer not interacting with the other sclicer.

Hi,

The only way is to use SELECTEDVALUE function but i don't think it will work or it will be very complicated.

A simpler way would be to create elements similar to slicer with selection and bookmark pane.
