Hi,
I'm trying to make a report that has customer sales. the data used is by individual invoice lines with Customer Number, Customer Type, Invoice filter by year, and total invoice amount. the total invoice amount is summing the total for whole year, not on an individual customer level.
any help is appreciated.
thank you,
What visual are you using? If you put your customer number and invoice amount into a table visual you should see the invoice amount by customer. You may have to create a measure if you are doing something a bit complex where you need to remove certain context. Something like:
Measure = CALCULATE(SUM([Invoice Amount]),ALLEXCEPT())
thank you for the reply. i'm starting with many lines of individual sale data, many of them multiple purchases, i guess i'm trying to figure out if Power Bi can sum and sort them like a pivot table to make a visual. or do i have to start with data totals already?
Hi @cspanek,
You can try to use matrix visual, but it not support column header filters and sort by multiple columns.
