Summarizing custom rows

Hi,

Is it at all possible to summarize Table1 into Table2 in Power BI?

Would appreciate any hints how to do it.

@gvg

Just pivot the Income Statement Items Column using Query Editor

Then you can easily Add New Custom Columns like Net Sales, EBITDA etc

Then Unpivot back the Columns

Well, these are tables in Power BI. I can't operate them in Power Query, can I?

@gvg

I meant the QUERY editor.

If these are your raw data tables you can modify them using Query Editor

No, they are not raw tables. They are tables generated in Power BI using tools that are not available in M (parent-child hierarchy handling DAX functions like PATH, PATHITEM, etc.).
