Need help to sum between number ranges (products category) as below:
Table Name = SALES
ColunmA = Category (numbers)
ColunmB = Amount (Currency$)
Category | Amount |
1001 | 150 |
1002 | 200 |
1003 | 200 |
1004 | 50 |
3001 | 100 |
3002 | 150 |
3003 | 150 |
Categories are 100x and 300x
Desire results is to sum caterories sales separatelly:
100x = $600
300x = $400

Add a column to your model with the category.
Power Query:
Text.Start ( [Category] , 3) & "X"
DAX:
DAX Sales Categopry = LEFT('Table'[Category], 3) & "X"
Now use this column has your group.
