Sum of Averages as Total Bar

Hello,

I created a table which shows the average number of days for each step in a process to take. This is in a table visualization. To do this I took the column which was a numeric function of the number of days, then set the value to an average calculation. I then want to use the total rows as a sum of the averages, but PBI is defaulting to an average of the averages. I do not know how to change this. Is there a way to change how the total is being calculated?  I do not want to add in another row of the data if possible.

Hi @lem5072,

you would need to create a measure to calculate the average and then a SUMX expression using that measure and the table that needs to be iterated.

If you are able to provide sample data and desired results that would be very helpful.

Thanks,

I hope this helps,
Richard

Thank you! Creating it's own calculation in DAX allowed for the sum of average calculation
